Amir Harash

The Novelist

Amir Harash is a doctor of literature who teaches in the Department of Literature at Tel Aviv University and at The College of Literary Arts in Jerusalem. Harash writes prose and performance based poetry under the pseudonym Katvan Alef. His two novels, "The World Would Be Lost" (Keter, 2013) and "Bronze" (Keter, 2019), challenge the divide between the realistic and the fantastic. Two more of his novels will soon be published in Am Oved: "Bereavement and Failure (and Zombies)" and "Horror in West Rishon." Harash is one of the first to give academic attention to poetry slam in Israel, and teaches the course "The Language of Fear - Horror in Literature, Culture and Mythology."
