Ben Freykovsky is a college dropout and a person who functions only through the power of the written word and the screen arts. He is a fiction writer and essayist whose work explores illness and recovery, dreams, nightmares and memory, trauma and post-trauma. His primary interest is fictional dystopia, not as a way of imagining a hypothetical future, but as a means of examining a living present that must be confronted, and the stories people tell themselves in order to survive it.
