Summary:
Norval (Elijah Wood) travels far from the city to a remote village, to visit with his estranged father of 30 years, following a letter he received from him. The vision of an exciting reunion fades as he arrives and receives a cold welcome. All attempts at connection, familiarity and the bridging of gaps are mute as the affair devolves into a nightmare.
