Summary:
An Italian supernatural horror film about a tormented, grief-stricken teacher who arrives in a town that at first seems almost utopian. The community revolves around a mysterious boy gifted with the power to heal people by taking away their emotional pain. Yet behind the smiles, the sense of unity, and the burning faith lies a secret ritual that blurs the boundaries of morality, belief, and empathy. As the teacher becomes entangled in the boy’s inexplicable power, the illusion of holiness begins to crumble, revealing horror as deeply human as it is redemptive. A darkly poetic and visually stunning Italian film that premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
