Boaz Armoni

Film maker

Boaz Armoni, 1979, Tel-Aviv. Studied film at the Beit berl Arts College. Following his studies Armoni started working as a professional director and producer for historical films for visitor centers, organizational promotionals and ads. In 2011, together with screenwriter Lior Lederman and Green Productions he began work on his feature film directorial debut, the Israeli military horror film Freak Out. The film sneak previewed at Utopia 2014 and was released successfully to screens on 2015 by United King. In 2016 Armoni got together with screenwriters Sarel Pitterman and Shir Reuveni and producer Tzvika Natan to work on the musical comedy The Electrifiers. The film premiered at the 2019 Haifa Film Festival, following a successful commercial presentation. Through all these years Armoni has been working with screenwriter Itamar Sade on the horror film Fingernail. The concept received a development grant from the Israeli Film Fund at the 2014 Utopia Festival and had received a special grant at the 2019 Bucheon South Korea Fantastic Film Festival.
