Assistant Prof., History and Theory of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning, Technion
Architect, architectural historian and researcher. In his work, Eli explores the historical and conceptual relationships between technological advancements and speculative, utopian and dystopian architectural imaginations. In his doctoral research, which he is now developing into a book, Eli explored how the invention of nuclear weapons and the rise of popular apocalyptic culture influenced the work of speculative architects in Cold War United States. Today, Eli directs a research lab at the Technion Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning, which studies the relationship between various forms of architectural representation, historical narratvies, and future visions.
