Marat Parkhomovsky

Film and Theater creator and entrepreneur

"Graduate of the Film and Theatre Departments at Tel Aviv University. In 2021, won the Best Debut Film Award at the Haifa International Film Festival for his film Tel Aviv. In 2011, received the Ministry of Culture’s Cinema Art Prize for his wide-ranging documentary new-media project The Israeli Cinema Testimonial Database. Directed a series of acclaimed independent stage productions, including Project Chaya (Short Theatre Festival, Tzavta), The Tragedies of the House of Oedipus (Wohl Amphitheatre), Are There Cockroaches in Israel? (Habima), The Golem Lives! and The American Princess (Returns) (Tmu-na Theatre), among others. Between 2010 and 2023, taught at Minshar, where he gave the courses “Introduction to Israeli Cinema” and “Introduction to Genre Cinema.”
