Natali likes to describe himself as a hybrid organism, being of both Italian and British descent as well as sharing dual citizenship with Canada and the United States. He grew up enjoying the schizophrenic pleasures of an ordinary middle class life whilst taking strange flights of fantasy at first through drawing and later film. Little has changed over the years except that now he occasionally gets paid for it.
