Avraham Chai

Avraham Chai (born April 21, 1944, in Baghdad) is an Israeli photographer who specializes in archaeology, artworks, artists, and art exhibitions photography. Since the late 1970s, Chai has photographed over 600 art and archaeology catalogs for a wide range of galleries and museums in Israel, including the Israel Museum, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Haifa Museum of Art, Mishkan Museum of Art in Ein Harod, the Tefen Open Museum, the Negev Museum, and others. His photographs have appeared over the years in additional catalogs and numerous publications (journals, magazines, press). His photographic archive encompasses documentation of approximately forty years of Israeli art. As an artist-photographer, Chai has exhibited a selection of solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions.
